Board Members Seminar Monday March 9

The Group of Earth Sciences and Space has arranged for next Monday, March 9 at 10:30 am in Room Conference of the Physics Department, USACH, the seminar "Problems of energy and renewable energy" . This seminar will be taught by Dr. Julian White, Director of the Environmental Applications of Solar Energy, the Plataforma Solar de Almeria, Spain the largest research, development and test in Europe dedicated to concentrating solar technologies . This event was made possible thanks to the special assistance of Mr. Germain Vergara Sinquever Company:



Dr. White's research is focused on the application of solar energy processes and water technologies: detoxification, disinfection and desalination of sea and brackish waters. He has given numerous presentations on courses, conferences and seminars worldwide, collaborating with institutions like the UN and Euresco. Editor Honorary Title: "Solar Energy Conversion Systems and Photoenergy" UNESCO-EOLSS. He is author / coauthor of 7 complete books and 18 chapters in various volumes and more than 60 publications in international journals. He is the author of 4 patents. Obtained in 2004 the European Award for Innovation "European Grand Prix for Innovation Awards."

Dr. Julian White issue on 12 March, at the Ritz Carlton hotel, a seminar on energy issues, the role of renewable energies and the European regulation and its application to the Chilean model with respect to energy solar. This seminar is organized by the company Sinquener, under the auspices Siemens and Nexans. ----------------------------------------------
